Local government executives face increasing pressure to “do more with less” and justify their expenditures by demonstrating improved or expanded services.  Particularly for emergency services, local officials need criteria to assess performance and efficiency.  The accreditation process provides a well-defined and universally recognized benchmark system that measures the quality of service being provided to those in need. 

IXP enjoys a number of industry accreditations. These important designations serve as a mark of excellence in the public safety industry.  We utilize rigorous processes to provide thorough training, adopt industry best practices and continuously evaluate performance.  IXP achieved accreditation in both Emergency Medical Dispatch and Emergency Fire Dispatch with the International Association of Emergency Dispatch in less than three years.  In addition to meeting industry standards for call handling, IXP ensures excellent service to all those that call us for assistance by maintaining communications center accreditation with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).  IXP’s Chattahoochee River 9-1-1 Authority Emergency Communications Center (ChatComm) received accreditation from CALEA on November 22, 2014.  This makes IXP the first private sector company to receive this accreditation.  We are honored to receive this distinction, as it illustrates our success and our commitment to upholding the highest standards.  

Additionally, IXP has built further trust and confidence in its service delivery processes and controls by obtaining an independent auditor’s report on the Suitability of the Design of Controls Relevant to Security, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy (SOC 2® Type 1). This report attests to the design and operating effectiveness of IXP controls. This assessment and on-going verification by our independent auditor meets the standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants relating to trust and privacy services.  This certification is not mandatory; IXP chose to obtain this certification to provide our clients with an even higher level of comfort in our service delivery.
